Job Description • Rich experience in operation and maintenance of High voltage 11 KVA transformers, power distribution, switch gears, • Reviews plant electrical related operational and equipment problems that result in poor performance, reduced availability, loss of efficiency, or loss of capacity; determines root causes, and proposes and implements solutions to the problem areas. • Investigates and analyzes complex disturbances and failures and identifies the causes. Develops and implements solutions. Keeps abreast of latest electrical tests, designs and other industry innovations. • Assists operations and maintenance staff in root cause analysis, repair evaluations and use of new technologies to improve performance and reliability. • Fundamental knowledge of design, operation and inspection of generators, motors, batteries, VFDs, relays, circuit breakers, switchgear , transformers and field instrumentation. • Understanding of equipment testing, evaluation, calibration techniques, etc. • Ability to read and interpret piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID). • Provides internal consultation to plant management, operations and maintenance on a variety of electrical subjects. • Perform power system studies including ground fault settings, short circuit, protective device coordination and Arc Flash Evaluations. • Perform engineering studies or portions of very complex studies including: reliability, harmonics, arc-flash and reliability centered maintenance studies. • Perform electrical power system documentation including: system configuration, equipment ratings and settings. • May perform circuit and system measurements and write reports relating to: EMF, electrical load, voltage, and power quality.
Profile Degree/ Diploma In Electrical Engineering and atleast 10 years experience in HV/LV power distribution system Licensed Professional Engineer from DEWA /SEWA/ADWEA ON High and low voltage
