Job Description The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance, repair or replacement of plant, equipment and systems, to ensure maximum asset utilization and minimum breakdowns of the plant and equipment.
The primary function of the Maintenance Manager is to oversee the operation and maintenance programs and procedures and assists with planning and implementing improvements in any of the assigned work place.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Initiates, plans, implements and manages the maintenance program based on best practices in the Building Services Industry.
2. Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
3. Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts and maintenance history of plant equipment.
4. Prepare reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems.
5. Ensure that maintenance personnel are adequately trained, equipped and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
6. Maintains and updates operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
7. Monitors operation of plant and equipments.
8. Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, statutory compliance etc.
