1. Check and maintain all the system of vehicles / equipment as per the requirement of Motor Vehicle Periodical Inspection (MVPI) of Traffic Department which are explained by Engineer / Foreman –In- Charge. 2. Perform preventive maintenance of the work place. 3. Check and maintain the vehicle/ equipment as per simplified preventive maintenance schedule, copy of which is displayed on notice board. 4. Perform the job as per given in the job card. 5. Ensure that the vehicle / equipment is neatly washed/ cleaned and required oils and filters have been changed/ containers of filters must be filled with required oil so that engine doesn’t starve for want of oil. 6. Apply and or inject grease at vehicle greasing points. 7. Ensure fluids / lubricants etc are at proper appropriate levels. 8. Assign in changing engine oil; oil pressure of engine should be measured and recorded as follows, at a temperature (preferably) about 75 C to 90 C and idle RPM about 600 if oil pressure is less than 0.5 KG/CM2 then inform immediately to the foreman / Engineer. 9. Ensure the maintenance of air suction indicator system is working perfectly well.
